Product Warranties

Each product sold by Foothills Custom Outdoors carries its own manufacturer warranty. The specific warranty terms, including coverage duration, covered components, and exclusions, are detailed in the product’s instruction manual or documentation provided at the time of purchase.

Common warranty coverage includes:

  • Structural components (frames, posts, beams): Typically covered for defects in materials and workmanship for a period specified by the manufacturer (often 3 to 10 years depending on the product).
  • Roofing and steel components: Commonly covered against rust through, peeling, or structural failure for a defined period.
  • Hardware and fasteners: Usually covered against defects for 1 to 3 years.
  • Fabric and cushion materials: Coverage varies by manufacturer and material type. Performance fabrics like Sunbrella often carry separate manufacturer warranties.

What Is Typically NOT Covered

Most manufacturer warranties do not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, including fading, weathering, and surface aging
  • Damage caused by improper assembly, modification, or misuse
  • Damage resulting from extreme weather events (hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding) unless the product is rated and certified for those conditions
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect the structural integrity or function of the product
  • Products that have been altered, painted, or modified from their original specifications
  • Damage caused by failure to follow maintenance instructions

Installation Warranty

Foothills Custom Outdoors stands behind the quality of our installation work. If you experience any issue directly related to how we assembled or installed your structure (such as leveling, anchoring, or hardware connections), contact us and we will make it right.

Our installation warranty covers defects in workmanship for a period that will be communicated to you at the time of your project agreement. This warranty applies exclusively to work performed by the Foothills Custom Outdoors team.

How to File a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product or installation is covered under warranty, please contact us with the following information:

  • Your name and contact information
  • The product name and model number
  • Your order number or purchase date
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos of the affected area (if applicable)

We will review your claim and work with the manufacturer (if applicable) to determine coverage and arrange for repair, replacement parts, or other appropriate resolution.

Replacement Parts

If a part is defective, damaged during shipping, or missing from a product kit, contact us and we will coordinate with the manufacturer to get the correct replacement part to you as quickly as possible. Please have your product model number and the part number (if available) ready when you contact us.
